Morning Wildflower Walk at Nodding Trillium Garden

We will be visiting the Nodding Trillium Garden at Dr Dan Pitillo's house in Cullowhee, NC. This amazing Public Garden is filled with an impressive diversity of naturally occurring and planted Native Wildflowers. Dr Pitillo has lived on this land and has been planting and tending this garden for over 40 years.

All of the Friday Wildflower Walks are offered on a sliding scale of $50-$15 per person, and are capped at 15 people per session. This allows for more people to be able to attend the walks. I ask that attendees pay based on their ability, and on how they value the experience. Please confirm your attendance at each week's walk by sendinig an email to bigelownc@gmail.com or by cliking the link on my website. Payment can be cash, check, or online through Venmo

Join me as the Mountain Ivy Garden Club Hosts its 2nd Annual Garden Symposium, Celebrate Spring
The day-long event will feature expert speakers, demonstrations, a plant market, door prizes, raffles and a variety of garden-related vendors and activities
The event is from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. with registration at 8 a.m. Tickets, which will be sold in advance, are $75 per person and include lunch from Clayton Cafe

This week we will be visiting a special Public Garden, the Corneille Bryan Native Plant Garden in Haywood County, NC. This hidden gem is located in a neighborhood within Lake Junaluska.
This well maintained area is loaded with Spring Ephemeral Wildflowers, Shrubs, Trees, and Vines which are all Native to the Southeastern US. It is a beautiful space

Morning Wildflower Walk at Standing Rock Overlook

Standing Rock Overlook, Blue Rdg Pkwy, Waynesville, NC 28786, USA
We will be meeting at the Standing Rock Overlook to go walk the beautiful Rich Cove Woods along the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. We will park at the overlook, and then take a short and briefly steep trail, where we will be surrounded by beautiful Spring wildflowers on all sides. The trail takes us past Old Growth Trees, and along a creek.

And, while there are not any write-ups about the trail, I guarantee that this is not a spring walk to be missed.
